| The
summer edition of Terre
de Vins, the glossy review of wine in the South is on the shelves.
Include amongst the recipes, win and olive oil reviews is an wonderful
article on British vignerons in the South, Albas's Clare and Nick
Bradford, Robert and Kim Cripps from Domaine de Poujol near Montpellier,
Gavin Crisfield's Domaine de la Sauvageonne, Larzac, and the McKinlay's
of Dentelles de Montmirail, Séguret. If you read French this
is a great profile. Also includes a guide to the area around Lagrasse.
Lagrasse in general has been taking a bit of a beating recently in
the press, Destination Privee headed up it's Lagrasse section, "Village
a Vente". Not exactly sympathetic, but with the high prices and
high English population, not mentioning it's staggering beauty is
it not a surprise that it is popular. Just don't mention the floods!
