Vivendi
Universal
Chief Operations Officer, ad2-one Europe
ad2-one was Vivendi Universal.Net interactive advertising sales start-up.
I joined to assist them setting up their offices outside of France- nl,
uk, de, it, se and es. Within two months I was promoted to the COO role
with responsibility for all aspects of recruitment, legal, client services,
sales and business development. I also had full responsibility for developing
the technical aspects of adserving, direct marketing technology, wireless,
and negotiating contracts with our software suppliers. On top of that I
was responsible for marketing, relations with our advertising agency, public
relations, web site design firm and recruitment consultants. Spent eight
months building the company up and four months deconstructing it as Vivendi's
star slowly faded. |

Emerging
Technologies-Oppido Portal Project
Commercial Director/ CEO of International Company
A key part of the pilot management team for this e-commerce loyalty program,
WAP and broadband portal. My primary role was to write the commercial aspects
of the business plan, set up the legal and financial structure of the company
outside of Sweden and sound out potential e-commerce partners across Europe.
To successfully launch the VC, Emerging Technologies estimated they required
350-450 million US, the state of the market at this time was not receptive
to such large scale fund-raising. Launched as Swedish only operation, quickly
sold to the Swedish post office as their e-commerce site. |

of the two countries largest 10 portals at the time. I was rapidly promoted
to European Sales Director and ran a team of 120 sales people in 15 offices
across 12 countries. My team and I took revenues from 100,000 US per month
to 3,000,000 US. I was responsible for all aspects of budgeting, sales projections,
recruitment and management of the sales directors as well as key client
sales and business development pitches-my favorite part of the job. I was
also responsible for developing the wireless and direct marketing sales
organization. As a member of the European Board I was played a role in acquisition
and mergers, as well as overall strategic management and planning. Left
at the request of the CEO to join him in Sweden- see above. |
