Caroline
Coles and Peter
Shield have lived in the Midi for four years now. We have created
this site to bring together the services we provide along with all
the information and knowledge we have built up about the area.
The
Languedoc is becoming more and more popular with English speaking
expatriates, not just as a retirement location but also as a place
to live and work. The high quality of the education and health provision,
the relatively low cost of living, the climate and the pace of life
all make the Midi a very attractive destination. The mountains and
plains, ancient stone villages, wildlife and the Meditteranean all
make for a beautiful environment in which to live.
Easily
accessible either by road along the well maintained autoroutes,
by rail on the TGV,
or increasingly popular by Air either via Toulouse or with Ryanair
to Carcasonne or Perpignan.
This
site is to help you make the most of the area and help you enjoy
your life or visit to the true heart of the Midi.
As
a friend of ours says, "The Gods make Provence, afterward they
learnt from their mistakes and made Languedoc".

The
other purpose of the site, of course, is to drum up business for
ourselves and our friends. We provide a comprehensive suite of web
design, and marketing
and communication services.
When
you first arrive here the system can seem a bit bewildering, as
indeed it is. Having fully relocated ourselves we are in a great
position to help you with all aspects of relocating, from finding
a house, dealing with the relevant legal processes, registering
yourselves and your car in France, obtaining the correct insurance
for vehicles, houses and health. Getting the all important Carte
de Sejour, exchanging your driving license. Getting planning permission
for external alterations, setting up a business, paying taxes. It
all takes time and paitence, with our help we can take away the
pain and let you get on with enjoying your first year here. It only
has to be done once you will be pleased to hear. Click the link
if you want to know more about or property
management and assistance

We
hope the site is useful, any suggestions for improvement, or new
areas greatly appreciated. Just drop us a line at peter
